Understanding the PQA-Revised

This professional development training will provide GSRP teachers with an in-depth knowledge of the new PQA-Revised assessment tool for their preschool classrooms. The PQA-R is completed 1-2 times per year for each classroom based on the guidelines set by the State of Michigan and is the determining factor for the star rating they receive. Teachers will be introduced to the 39 sections of the new "Classroom Materials Checklist" and the new scoring system for the PQA-R as well as how the new system will affect the final score. Lastly, there are numerous changes in the new PQA-R document that will be discussed point-by-point so teachers will know what the ECS is looking for in the teacher-child interaction piece.
