Assessment Development and Assessment Item-Writing Training
To complement Carrollton Public Schools rich innovated long-term strategic plan to ensure that every child has access to a master teacher and building leaders who are world class, we are offering an opportunity for our teachers to participate in follow up evening PLC’s. (To be held after-contractual hours). These PLC sessions will be guided and provide support time for teachers to continue building assessments with assistance and support by the District Administrators in the area of assessment and/or curriculum. The objectives of the PLC’s include teachers continuing to: Create, upload, scan, add and administer standards-based assessments in mere minutes at the teacher, district, state, or national level. Immediately receive results and use data for a flexible grouping of students, Response to Intervention (RtI) protocol, judging how to pace and plan the next lesson, and more. Use instant formative feedback mid-lesson to ascertain lesson plan success and inform next step. Using Michigan State content specific standards, teachers will continue to create standards-based assessments, upload paper tests, score, and analyze the data to enable daily personalized instruction and promote educator and student success. Grade level collaboration and assessment development will be highly encouraged during these sessions.
