Biographical Sketch:
Moved to Paw Paw in 1851 and manufactured lumber many years. In the early days of the Republican Party, was a very forcible and able speaker. Never sought office and refused to serve when elected Prosecuting Attorney of Van Buren Co. He later consented to serve as State Senator in 1867. Elected again in 1868 but didn't take his seat until 1869.Later had a fruit farm and was president of the Lawton Pomological Society.
