Biographical Sketch:
Son of John William and Lydia A. (Underwood) Sharp. In 1863, he moved with his parents to Brooklyn, Jackson County, MI, where he remained upon his father's farm for 4 years, spending the winters in teaching. Admitted to the bar in 1869. He practiced law in Jackson until 1884 when he turned to farming and raising stock. He served as city attorney n Jackson, 1877, supervisor of Census for the southern district of Michigan, 1880 and prosecuting attorney for Jackson County, 1881-2.
