Biographical Sketch:
Son of Benjamin J. and Hannah (Chapman) Stark. Worked as a cooper until 1853; in 1866 worked in the drug trade in Palestine, IL then farmed until 1871. Moved from Hudson, OH to Cascade, MI, 1871 and operated a dry goods store. He served as township supervisor. He later returned to Hudson, OH to farm. Two years before his death, he moved to Kent, OH.
