Biographical Sketch:
Son of Charles and Ruth An (Barrett) Gilmore. He was clerk of the judiciary committee of the Senate in 1871. He was admitted to the practice of law in Michigan and Ohio. He followed the banking business after 1873, when he instituted the banking predecessor of the Blissfield State Bank. He operated his bank until May 31, 1893.
