Biographical Sketch:
Emigrated in 1866 at age 14, settled in Hancock MI and engaged in mining for three years. He moved to Marquette in 1869 and was employed as a lumber inspector. Moved to Spaulding in Menominee Co. in 1876 and purchased a farm and engaged in lumbering and general store business. He held the offices of township clerk and justice of the peace in Spaulding township, was elected supervisor of Harris township in 1903 & 1904.
