Son of William and Eliza (Payne) Draper. Began practicing law 11/27/1838, in partnership with his father. He served as township clerk in 1836. Prosecuting attorney for Oakland Co., 1855-60

Notable Facts:
Born about 1812 in Massachusetts. He was the first clerk of the courts under the State constitution, and held the position two years,-to 1838.
