Biographical Sketch:
Son of Benjamin and Huldah (Knapp) Huston. He moved to Canton, Wayne County, MI, in 1836. Admitted to the bar in Ann Arbor in 1854 and began his practice in Vassar, Tuscola County, in 1855. He was appointed prosecuting attorney of Tuscola County in 1856; and was chosen for the latter in 1858. He also served as circuit court commissioner. In 1862 he raised a company for the 23rd Michigan Infantry, becoming a Major. Following the war he returned to Vassar. In 1866 he was agian circuit court commissionerand, in 1867, was a member of the constitutional onvention. He was speaker pro tem in the legislature for 2 terms.
