Biographical Sketch:
She was a public school teacher for 12 years, serving also as a middle and high school coach. She also worked as a computer educator for a medical center. Haines was a former city council member and participated in numerous volunteer organizations. She served as a Lake Angelus City Council member and in the 43rd District as community liaison for former state Rep. Fran Amos. She served as executive committee member for the Oakland County Republican Party, a precinct delegate and North Oakland Republican Club member. She was a graduate of the Michigan Political Leadership Program. She served on Oakland University's College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Board and Oakland University's Art Gallery Board. She was on the Dean's Advisory Board for the University of Michigan-Flint. She was a member of the Waterford Chamber of Commerce, Waterford Township Historical Society, Waterford Senior Center, Oakland County Medical Main Street, and Christmas in Action. She was a community liaison for State Representative Fran Amos.
