Born in April 1808, exact date unknown. Attended an academy in Canandaigua; associate judge of the common pleas court of Ontario Co., NY, 1836; moved to Detroit, 1839; admitted to the bar in 1841 & practiced in Marshall, Calhoun Co., MI; prosecuting attorney of Calhoun Co. in 1842. Died in NY while en route to Washington, D.C., before the assembling of Congress. Gloried in the life of a pioneer!
