Biographical Sketch:
Son of Thomas and Roseanna Gilluly. He taught school in 1845/46. He practiced of law in the village of Brighton. He enlisted as captain in the 5th Michigan Infantry in I861, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant-colonel of the same regiment. He was killed at the battle of Fredericksburg, 12/13/1862.
