Biographical Sketch:
Of English & Irish descent. Eldest child of Richard (1815-1860) & Elizabeth (Longworth) Winsor (1814-1901). Came to Lighthouse Bay, Sanilac Co., MI from Canada at 17. A fire destroyed the family home in 1859. Studied law & admitted to practice in Michigan courts, 1867. Involved in bringing the railroad to Huron Co. Moved to Port Austin, Dec. 1867. His law pracice included involvement in insurance & banking interests. He owned farm land which he cultivated & used to raise stock.
