Biographical Sketch:
Engaged in farming and the shipping of livestock in Climax in 1892, leaving that place in 1909 and locating in Comstock, where he became interested in real estate and lumbering. Held the office of sheriff two terms and dairy and food commissioner one term, and was also president of the Comstock school board for two years.
According to House Resolution No. 5, 1942 House Journal, p. 65, he died on 2/16/1942.
He served 2 terms as the State Food Commissioner.

Republican and was elected to the legislature in 1924 and 1926, and re-elected November 6, 1928, by a vote of 8,616 to 2,341 for Edward W. Upham.
