Biographical Sketch:
He engaged for 10 years as illuminating engineer with the Detroit Gas & Electric Fixture Co. In 1914, he organized the Wardell Light & Fixture Co., and operated this company successfully until 1921, when it was sold. He developed the Wardell system of diffused lighting which is now used extensively throughout the country.

Notable Facts:
Missing 2 fingers off his right hand. Death certificate gives birth year as 1881; 1923 Michigan Manual say 1882
