Biographical Sketch:
Served as Pension Agent in Detroit for several years; and as a member of the Pontiac state hospital's board of trustees for 6 years. In 1881 he formed the Detroit Soap Co. with Digby V. Bell. He later bough Bells' share and continued the company as the Queen Anne Soap Co. before selling it when he was in his 80s. Member of the Knights Templar and the GAR.
