Biographical Sketch:
Came to Woodville MI in June, 1883. Worked in sawmills until 1898, and as telegraph operator for Chicago and West Michigan and Pere Marquette Railroads until 1903. Bought a candy store in Petoskey December 1, 1903, bought his partners intrest in 1906, which he gradually changed to a restaurant & operates with his son as a partner.

Elected to the legislature on the Republican ticket November 8, 1938, According to House Resolution No. 6, House Journal, 1958, p. 9, he died 11/11/1957.
