Son of Professor John Patrick and Catherine (Newell) O'Connor; was a gold assayer for the Yellow Jacket mining Co., Comstock Lode, Nevada; elected commissioner of Lincoln Park, 1934; served as senior supervisor of Works progress Admiinistration of Wayne County, 1937-1939; on Allied War Relief Board, 1940-1941; as national representative of the Congress of Industrial Relations at Washington, D.C., 1941-1948; employed as a manufacturer's agent and in the commodity brokerage business; member of Moose, Elks, Eagles, Maccabees, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, Sports Guild, Gaelic Society, Father Vans Boys and Knights of Equity.
