Biographical Sketch:
Son of Ezek & Sallie A. (Hammond) Pray. He moved to what became Superior, Washtenaw County, MI, 1825, with his family. He first practiced medicine in Salem, MI in 1849. In 1856, he moved to Ronald, Ionia County, MI and purchased a farm. He remained there, with the exception of 18863-67, when he practiced medicine in Ann Arbor. He served as township supervisor for several years. He was active in the Grange movement.

Notable Facts:
In the first graduating class of his university, 1845. Democrat then a Republican.
