Biographical Sketch:
Of English and Danish descent. Son of James H. and Harriet E.(Darling) Johnson. He taught for 1 year after leaving high school before entering the railway service, becoming an engineer at 25. After completing medical school he practiced in Fostoria, MI, Metamora and Mayville. In July, 1918, he applied for a commission in the Medical Corps., U.S.Army, and served over-seas 1 year with the Saumer Artillery Hospital and Base Hospital 103. He was discharged 7/26/1919. Member of the American Legion; the Masons; the American Medical Society and the Tuscola Co. Medical Society. He served as president of Mayville for several years and held other township offices.
