Biographical Sketch:
He committed suicide. According to what his wife Catherine told police, Russell had complained of head pain since he was in an auto accident 3 years before his death.

Notable Facts:
He authored the Capital Punishment Bill of the 1921 Session. Hw was a lawyer in Detroit for 30 years. Ran for his same office unsuccessfully in 1934, 1936, 1938 and 1940. He was a member of the Detroit Yacht Club and won the great lakes cabin cruiser championship in 1930. Other memberships included the Palestine Lodge, Detroit Consistory and the Moslem Temple Shrine.
