Is a son of John Madill, who was prominent in politics up to his death in 1905. Engaged in the abstract and insurance business in Midland. Was chairman of the Republican county committee of Midland county for twelve years, county treasurer for four years and postmaster of Midland city for four years. Was a member of the Executive Committee of the Northwestern Development Bureau.
