Education:
He received his education in the public schools at Bergen, LeRoy, and Rochester, New York. In 1877 he graduated from Devlin Business College at Jackson.
Biographical Sketch:
At the age of eighteen years he moved with his parents to Concord, Michigan. Was associated with his father for fourteen years as builder, achitect, contractor and builder of fine homes. On October 15, 1888, he purchased the Concord Independent, later named the Concord News of which he was publisher over thirty-six years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and Modern Woodmen. He represented and served his township as treasurer and clerk, and has served the village of Concord as councilman, clerk and treasurer.

Elected to the legislature for 1925-1926 with a vote of 7,120, having no opposition.
