Biographical Sketch:
Son of Robert and Nancy J. (Fairchild) McKibbon. He came to Michigan in 1884. He sailed the lakes from 1898 until 1901, then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps for 4 years. For several years, he was interested in the construction of trunk line highways and also built the Idlewild Resort, on Houghton Lake. In 1930, he was living in Detroit and was listed as a reort keeper. He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge, of Beaverton, Scottish Rites of Bay City, and Shire of Saginaw.

Died of a stroke/ apoplexy.
