Biographical Sketch:
Son of Charles Osmer and Lillian M. (Hinsdill) Smedley. He was commissioned a first lieutenant in the military school and elected Head Prefect in charge of the upper classes during his senior year. He served in the U.S.A.S. in the world war. He was discharged from service 11/8/1917. He was admitted to the bar in 1919. He was associated in the law firm of Linsey, Shivel & Smedley, and was a member of the State Bar Association Committee on legal reform and procedure. He was past commander of the American Legion, Mason and Shriner.
Notable Facts:
Four time national flyrod accuracy champion; considered to be one of the best flyrod fishermen in the country.
Died November, 1980.
