Biographical Sketch:
He came from New York in 1833, and settled in Spring Arbor on a farm. He soon became prominent in medicine and in politics. He had a large practice, and was frequently called to Jackson, Marshall and Jonesville. He was a skillful surgeon. He was state prison inspector and held several town offices. His son, Dr. George Cornell, was assistant surgeon of the First Michigan Sharpshooters. His post office was Spring Arbor, MI in 1837.
