Company cook for Company C of the 13th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. Admitted to the bar, 1865. Circuit Ct Commissioner & prosecuting attorney for Marquette Co., 1876-1883. Involved in the Milwaukee Mine, the New York Hematite Mine & other mining properties of the western upper peninsula. Member of the Masons, Knights Templar and the Shriners
