She retired from the Detroit Police Department after more than 17 years; created Detroit’s Adopt-A-Cop program for at-risk youth; founder, Calumet Townhouses Community Board; president, 3-Mile Block Club; member, Philip Sims Senior Housing Board, Detroit Chapter of American Businesswomen’s Association, National Council of Negro Women, Detroit Association of Colored Women; member, Michigan Legislative Black Caucus.
