Biographical Sketch:
Of English descent. Son of William Henry and Adelaid M. Chamberlin. In 1881, he moved from Iowa to Parma, MI, and attended school there at the time Senator Townsend was principal. In 1883, he returned to Iowa and resided on a farm continuously with the exception of the time spent at school. In 1903, he moved to Missaukee County, MI, and resided on his ranch at Star City. He was principal of the Star City school in 1908-1910. He also was postmaster at that place during the years 1910 and 1911. He was secretary of the Missaukee County Farmers' Institute Association.
