Biographical Sketch:
Warren was a former legislative assistant to State Representative Mary Schroer and State Representative Hubert Price for six years and previously executive director of MARAL Pro-Choice Michigan. She was the recipient of the 2010 Legislative Conservationist of the Year from the Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC) and the 2010 Susan B. Anthony Award from the Wayne County Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW). She received the 2011 Elected Official of the Year Award from the Michigan Recreation and Parks Association, 2011 Trout Unlimited Partners in Conservation Award, Habitat for Humanity of Michigan 2011 Public Official of the Year award, 2012 Health Policy Champion Award from the Michigan Department of Community Health, Police Officers of Michigan (POAM) Legislator of the Year Award 2012, Michigan Association of Social Workers Michigan Legislator of the Year 2014, Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health Legislator of the Year 2014, and the 2014 Michigan Association of Health Plans Legislator of the Year. She was a member of the Great Lakes Commission and the co-chair of Cancer Caucus and Legislative Biotechnology Caucus. She was the state director for WiLL/WAND and officer at-large for Michigan Democratic State Central Committee. She was a member of Women in Government, National Conference of Environmental Legislators (NCEL), National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), and Council of State Governments Midwestern Legislative Conference.
