Biographical Sketch:
His ancestors emigrated from England to New York in 1650. Moved with his parents, Jessie L. and Olivia (or Alvira) P. Stout, to Michigan, 1831; studied law; superintendent & principal of Pontiac High School in 1853-1854. Engaged in Pontiac from 1860-68; banking in president of the Oakland County Bank 1893-96. From 1883-96, he engaged in agricultural activity on his suburban farm near Pontiac.
