Biographical Sketch:
He moved to Michigan from western New York in 1858. He enlisted as a private in Co A, 29th Michigan Infantry in 1864 and returned as a First Lt in September 1865. Upon his return he went to Fairgrove until 1872. He served as supervisor several terms and was clerk of Tuscola Co., 1872-76.He was secretary for the County Agricultural Society for 7 years. He was village president in Caro and the presiding officer of the village council; director of the school board and president of the board of trustees of the M.E. church in Caro at the time of his death.
