Biographical Sketch:
Of Scotch descent. Son of James A. and Isabelle (Morrison) Stewart. He was raised on a farm and worked his way through medical school. He practiced in North Branch, Lapeer County, 1 year and at Alba, Antrim County, 1 and a half years, before moving to Flint in the spring of 1909. He spent about 1 year in the U.S. Marine Hospital and practiced in various parts of the service. Doctor Stewart was a member of the Genesee County Medical Society; the Michigan State Medical Society and the American Medical Association. He served as alderman for several years. Member of the Masons; the Elks; and the L.O.M. Club.
