Biographical Sketch:
Son of William & Emily (Molineaux) Snell, both natives of England. At 8 he went to live with his uncle, Jesse P. Haines in Niagara Co., NY. Snell moved to Haldimand Co., Ontario for 16 yrs at about age 21. Moved briefly to Saginaw, MI, 1866, before going to Huron Co. Opened a mercantile at Bay Port, maintained a farm & had lumber interests. His wife was active in the Methodist Episcopal Church. He was living in Albion, MI in 1880.

Died in 1904; remains moved and re-interred 3/6/1931
