Biographical Sketch:
Son of Thomas and Deborah (Tobey) Faxon. He moved to Michigan in 1834. He worked as a carpenter in Detroit for some time before moving to Manchester, Washtenaw Co. He purchased land in Raisin, Lenawee Co., in October 1835. He served as Raisin township supervisor. In 1860, he moved to Adrian, farming for a time before going into business with his sons for 4 years. He purchased land near Topeka, KS about this time.
