Biographical Sketch:
Of English ancestry. Son of Ann (Shenatt) Green. In 1867, he went to Detroit and learned the trade of sign writing. He moved to Port Huron in 1879, where he followed the occupation of painting until June, 1889. He was elected alderman in 1888 and served 2 years; was appointed deputy collector and inspector of customs, June, 1889: resigned March 1, 1892, and subsequently was principally engaged in farming and real estate.
