Biographical Sketch:
He was clerk in the office of the Adams Express company of said city , afterwards learning the trade of shoe cutting; moved to Chillicothe, OH, in May, 1883, and 3 years later he moved to Detroit where he worked for the Pingree Shoe Factory. He was a leader in labor union affairs. After leaving the legislature, he went into the police court clerk's office, eventually becoming chief assistant. He served as chief deputy county clerk

Notable Facts:
Death certificate erroneously states he was born in 1884 while stating that he was 45 when he died in 1909. Died of blood poisoning.
