Biographical Sketch:
He came to Michigan in 1841 with his parents, Samuel S. and Anna E. (Park) Shepard, settling in Owosso, Shiawassee Co. He taught school a number of terms , after which he engaged in farming and stock raising, especially cattle and sheep. He was supervisor 5 years and township clerk 7 years. He filled all the offices of his township except that of treasurer.
