Served in Companies C, E & F, 10th Reg., Michigan Volunteer Infantry, achieving the rank of capt. Settled in Bay City, MI, 1865. Admitted to the bar, 1868. Moved to Ludington, Mason Co., MI, 1873; circuit judge 1874-78; US pension agent at Detroit 2/8/1894 until his death in 1896.
