Biographical Sketch:
He worked as laborer in iron mines, lumber camps and factories. After his discharge from service started a farm with his brother, having the highest producing herd in the Upper Peninsula in 1938. Was elected justice of the peace, 1928; supervisor, 1931. He was a member of Leo Floriana Post 34, American Legion; Stephenson Lodge 492, F. and A.M.; Stephenson-Daggett Lions Club, and Nadeau Township Boosters Club.

Notable Facts:
He was a legislative postmaster for 18 years. Elected to the legislature on the Republican ticket November 8, 1938.
