Biographical Sketch:
Son of an Italian immigrant, his early work life began in the family bar/restaurant/bowling alley in Lincoln Park. Served 5 years as President of the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce and chaired the Economic Development Committee of the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments. He taught in public schools and at Northwood University, and served as Trustee for Wayne County Community College 1988-2004. Taubman Fellowship at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He was a published columnist for eight years in a suburban Detroit regional newspaper, and had a public access TV interview show with the Chamber for more than a decade. He earned a living over the years as a legislative aide, handyman, furniture mover, sewer inspector, sales and marketing specialist, event organizer and bartender. He was appointed as a Hearing Commissioner to the Michigan Liquor Control Commisison on June 8,2012 for a term that expires on June 12, 2016.
