Moved to Goodrichville, MI, 1867, trading in medicines & groceries for about 1 yr., returning to farming. . Taught school for 10 yrs in Tuscola & Huron Cos. Began studying law, 1874; admitted to the bar 1878; practiced in Sebewaing. Held several twp offices.
