Biographical Sketch:
Son of Thomas and Revana (Hill) Potter. He was reared on a farm but went to work as a carpenter and joiner at 19. Came to Shiawassee Co., MI, 1856. Held many local offices, including justice of the peace, township treasurer, clerk and supervisor; he also served as highway commissioner. In 1900 he was living in Vernon Towship.
