Biographical Sketch:
Son of Finnish immagrants; mother, Senja or Siena Nakkula. Owned and operated of an 80 acre farm in Gladwin County acquired in 1940. He served as chairman of the Gladwin County Board of Supervisors, president of the Gladwin Fair, vice president of the Gladwin Sportsman's Club and township clerk; member of Knights of Columbus, Gladwin Tourist Advisory Council, Chamber of Commerce and State Association of Supervisors; served as U.S. Census enumerator. Attended St. Joseph Church
