Biographical Sketch:
At the age of 14, he moved with his parents, John and H. Adams, to Wayne Co. NY, and subsequently to Franklin, Portage (now Kent Co.),
OH, where he commenced the study of medicine. He practiced in Ohio and Collins, New York for several years before moving to Kalamazoo Co., MI in 1854. He also resided in Allegan Co. He served as mayor of Plainwell. Elected in 1861 as a Republican & in 1884 as a Fusion candidate.
