Biographical Sketch:
Son of Anson and Mary (Jones) Case. He moved to Michigan in 1852 and lived for several years in Shiawassee Co. He moved to Alpena in 1864. At one time he editted the Alpena County Pioneer and was its first editor. He served as justice of the peace, township treasurer and was on the board of education and superintendent of the county poor. He was elected township supervisor 5 successive years and was chairman of the board of supervisors twice. He represented the latter at the 1881 meeting o the State Board of Equalization.
