Biographical Sketch:
Son of Samuel and Iona Birkholm. He served as treasurer in St. Josephs and Pipestone townships and as justice of the peace; elected president of Eau Claire Co-operative Association for the fourth time, and is overseer of Grange; member of the Masonic Lodge.

Notable Facts:
He was appointed assistant-sergeant-at-arms of the house in 1919 and elected sergeant-at-arms in 1921 and re-elected in 1923.
