His education was recieved in the public schools of Hills Corners and Niles, Michigan. He also recieved degrees in Bachelor of Science in Michigan State College in 1908; Master of Science in Purdue University in 1911, and Master of Horticulture in Michigan State College in 1913
Biographical Sketch:
Engaged in the production of fruit on his farm located northwest of Buchanan; president of the Berrien County Farm Bureau, the St. Joe Valley Shipping Association of Niles and Buchanan, and the Grower-Consumer Direct Sales Service of Chicago, and also as secretary-treasurer of Berrien County National Farm Loan Association, and as director of the Buchanan State Bank, member of the Michigan State Grange, Kiwanis Club, Board of Directors of Michigan State Farm Bureau and I.O.O.F. lodge
