Son of William and Hilda (Lantto) Wisti. He was a Sgt in Korea; In 1967, he moved from Chassell to Hancock, MI. He opened his own law firm and practiced until he retired in 1997. He owned and operated the Copper Crown Motel in Hancock and the Super 8 Motel in Houghton. He was a former member of the Superior National Bank & Trust Company Board of Directors and the Keweenaw Financial Association Board of Directors. He served on the Executive Committee of Finlandia University and their Board of Trustees.
