He was a realtor since 1979. He was employed by Ford Motor Company and was a member of the UAW since 1972. [Worked for Ford for 28 years]. He was active with the Churchill High School PTA, Western Wayne NAACP, Rotary, Westland Jaycees, Goodfellows, Rouge River Rescue, and Westland Hockey Association. He was a Westland City Council Member for 9 years. He was sworn in as a member of the Wayne County Commission in January 2016 and was elected for a full term in November 2016
